Nose: Dry and malty with toasted barley and oak. Pine and light fruit notes, with a faint spiritiness. Over time sweeter spices emerge, plus a touch of puckering prune from the sherry cask and a maple-fudge richness.
Palate: Prominent barley and malt, slightly herbal and grassy, with restrained fruit. Ground ginger adds warm spice.
Finish: Mouthwatering, bittersweet, with lingering ginger and dry sherry. Becomes almost hoppy and pleasantly dry
