Ardnamurchan 6 Year Old - North Star Spirits bottling : £7.95

Indie bottler North Star unveils a six-year-old expression from its Obscurities & Curiosities series. Drawn from a single sherry butt, the nose opens with prune, cherry compote, and toasted almond. On the palate it deepens into dark chocolate, cracked black pepper, and freshly ground coffee.

Only 293 bottles were produced.

Dailuaine 14 - Saltire Bottling : £7.85

Cask: 1st Fill Bourbon Hogshead

This Speyside single cask Dailuaine is 14 years old, bottled by Saltire Rare Malt Whisky Company. Distilled in 2010, it matured for 14 years in a first-fill bourbon hogshead and was bottled in 2024. Dailuaine is often used in popular blends and rarely appears in official single-malt releases, so this independent single cask bottling is a welcome find.

Werther’s Echte, butterscotch, caramel toffee built on lemon meringue pie. Definitely a citrussy edge, with some vanilla on the side. Boiled sweets, with chopped hazelnuts in the finish.  

Highland Park 10 Year Old - Little Brown Dog Bottling : £7.50

This Highland Park whisky bottled by independent bottler Little Brown Dog aged 10 years and finished in a ‘Random’ Barrique.

Although the bottlers aren’t sure exactly what the cask held originally we know it was red wine of some style.

A nose of woody chopped dates leading to a palate of fresh fig and candied peel with some fine peat influence with a finish of cinnamon and bonfire smoke.

Linkwood 11 Year Old - Single malts of Scotland Bottling : £5.60

This lively, fruit-forward single malt was matured in refill hogsheads and bottled by Elixir Distillers for the Single Malts of Scotland range. The nose reveals ripe orchard fruit and subtle white florals, with undertones of lemongrass, vanilla, and a hint of butterscotch.

Cask masters by Brave New Spirits bring this excellent 13 year old Glen Spey finished in a 1st fill white wine barrique

MacDuff 11 Year Old - Single Malts of Scotland Bottling : £5.60

The Single Malts of Scotland Macduff 2014 is a Highland single malt distilled in 2014 and released by Elixir Distillers in their Small Batch series. Matured in just three bourbon barrels, this limited-edition bottling comes at 48% ABV, non-chill filtered and natural in colour. It highlights the distillery’s bright Highland profile, with bourbon cask influence lending notes of vanilla, gentle spice, and ripe orchard fruits.

This 9 year old Teaninich bottled by Brave New Spirits under the cask master range is matured in manzanilla sherry producing an outrun of 301 bottles distilled in 2016.
